Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is in third despite his poor form this season.

The Premier League is now five games old and whilst things are still in their early days, as clear from the fact Chelsea are currently hovering above the relegation zone, plenty of other places in the league are starting to look like the norm.

So what can we tell from the statistics after just five games?

For example, who is the best dribbler in the Premier League?

It will come as no surprise that the gong falls into the hands of perhaps the Premier League’s current form player Riyad Mahrez of Leicester City.

The Algerian international has been in exceptional form for the surprise team of the season so far in Leicester. His mazy dribbling, ferocious left-foot and first-class vision have made him a thorn in the side for any team he has faced after five games.

There is also no surprise to see Jordan Amavi in the top five. Statistically the Villa newbie has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season.

Eden Hazard’s presence comes as something of a surprise. The Chelsea player should be bossing this category but his form has been called into question this season. Despite being the third best dribbler in the league it would appear that he has not used his best attributes to much effect.

Fifth place in the standings is split three ways, with Ross Barkley, Sadio Mane and Wilfried Zaha of Everton, Southampton and Crystal Palace all making unsurprising entrances into the top list.
