Graham Roberts has praised Tottenham Hotspur central defender Cristian Romero on Twitter for his performance against Graham Potter’s Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Tottenham have got the better of Chelsea 2-0 in the London derby today.
Midfielder Oliver Skipp’s thumping 20-yard effort put Spurs in the lead in the opening minute of the second half.
England international striker Harry Kane doubled the advantage for Antonio Conte’s side in the 82nd minute.
Argentina international defender Romero started the Premier League match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Romero is one of the best centre-backs in the league, and he was brilliant in the London derby.
Chelsea simply could not get past the Argentine, who was a rock at the back and produced yet another flawless performance.
Now, we know that Romero can be very aggressive, but against Chelsea in the London derby, he was very mature and did not do anything silly.
And Roberts was impressed, as you can see from his tweets below.
Roberts played for both Tottenham and Chelsea in his career.
As you can see, the Englishman believes that Romero was “top class”, and so was right wing-back Emerson Royal.
Roberts has praised Skipp as well.
