Speaking to Stadium Astro’s YouTube Channel, Bukayo Saka has named three senior Arsenal players that have helped him develop at the club.
The winger was being asked a multitude of questions during the interview, and inevitably, the conversation became about him breaking into the first-team at such a young age.
He was asked if there were any players that have been mentoring him, to which he replied:
“Well, there’s many mentors, I can name a few, Aubameyang, David Luiz, Laca. All of them are good characters that as soon as you arrive these are the big names that the kids look up to.
“They try to make you normal like you’re one of them so, they all took me under their wing and encouraged me, especially on the pitch whenever anything happened, they would come and support me, tell me and encourage me, so I’m grateful to all of them.”

It’s interesting to get this sort of insight into the ongoings at Arsenal’s training ground.
Perhaps it’s to be expected that Aubameyang, Luiz and Lacazette are three key men when it comes to helping the youngsters settle in, after all, they’re three of the most experienced players in the squad.
Things may not be going too well for the aforementioned trio on the pitch this season, but their impact off the pitch seemingly shouldn’t be underestimated, as it sounds as though they’ve played a big part in Saka’s development, and he has to be considered one of the Gunners’ best players these days.
It sounds as though there is still plenty of squad harmony despite the London outfit’s poor league form, so we can only hope that results start to turn in their favour sooner rather than later.
