Stan Collymore has praised Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on Twitter for his performance against Sheffield United at the weekend.
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker is pleased for Bamford, as the ex-Chelsea and Nottingham Forest man scored for Leeds in their 1-0 win against the Blades away from home in the Yorkshire derby on Sunday.
The English striker scored the only goal of the Premier League game in the 88th minute.
The 27-year-old striker has scored three goals and provided one assist in three Premier League games for Marcelo Bielsa’s side so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Proving his doubters wrong
Not many will have expected Bamford to be such a success in the Premier League, but the striker is proving his doubters wrong.
The 27-year-old is banging in the goals for fun and is leading the line for one of the biggest clubs in England.
Bielsa is getting the best out of Bamford, and the Elland Road faithful will hope that it continues for long, as Leeds aim to enjoy a successful season in the Premier League.
