Kieran Richardson has claimed that Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son reminds him of Cristiano Ronaldo from ‘back in the day’, as he told Vibe with Five.

The former Manchester United player added that Son is ‘ruthless’ in front of goal and a ‘phenomenal’ footballer.

Only Mohamed Salah (20) is currently ahead of Tottenham’s South Korean flyer in the Premier League goalscoring charts for this season (17).

That was aided by the 29-year-old scoring a hat-trick at Villa Park over the weekend, as Salah, heading into the final few weeks of the season, now has a challenger for that Golden Boot award.

Nonetheless, former left-back Richardson, who played alongside Ronaldo during his early days at Old Trafford, compared Son to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

“He does get the love,” said Richardson. “I love him. I would love him at Man United.

“He’s too good for Tottenham. Proper. He is ruthless in front of goal. You know who Son reminds me of Cristiano like back in the day.

“When he goes through on goal, you know it’s a goal. Bang. The way he runs, the speed, it’s phenomenal.”

At £22 million (Guardian), Son has been a signing for the ages for Spurs and a player that will go down in the club’s legendary books.

Just like Harry Kane, he is a record-breaker in many departments and is also nearing the 100 mark when it comes to Premier League goals (87 currently).

Whilst Son won’t reach that landmark this season, there’s no doubt that he will be raising his bat to the crowd next term.

The only thing is that he, alongside Kane, will be hoping they can add all of this alongside a few medals under their trophy-laden coach, Antonio Conte.
