‘Too good for us’: Some fans brand reported £14m West Ham and Southampton target a ‘class act’

The Arnaut Danjuma hype train is pulling away from the station and we’re all just passengers on Bournemouth’s journey back to the Premier League.

With Jonathan Woodgate’s side sixth in the table and clinging on to their play-off place, there’s a long way to go. But as long as arguably the Championship’s finest footballer is producing match-winning displays game in, game out, Bournemouth fans can dream happily of glory at Wembley and a return to the big stage.

The irrepressible Danjuma has been all-but unstoppable in recent weeks and produced perhaps the best performance of his Cherries career on Saturday.

Not content with scoring two brilliant first-half goals – taking his seasonal tally to 13 – the former Club Brugge star set up David Brooks’ effort with a glorious right-footed cross.

The Sun reports West Ham United and Southampton both plan summer moves for Danjuma.

And Bournemouth will know, deep down, missing out on promotion could be fatal to their hopes of keeping the free-scoring winger at the Vitality Stadium.

The South Coast faithful should enjoy every piece of rabbit-pulling ‘Danjumagic’ for as long as they can.
