Kalvin Phillips was one of Leeds United’s best players last night.

The Whites picked up arguably their best result of the season so far by winning 1-0 away to Everton at Goodison Park.

Raphinha’s goal on 79 minutes was enough to help Leeds take a brilliant three points back to West Yorkshire with them.

But without the tireless running and pinpoint, cross-field passing from Phillips in midfield, the victory wouldn’t have been possible.

The Leeds midfielder bullied the likes of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure in what should be considered bonafide proof of his capacity to cope at the highest level, given how brilliant both of those Everton boys have been this season.

It’s clear that the 24-year-old is certainly the real deal.

Leeds have an exciting clash with old rivals Manchester United in a few weeks and here’s how some fans of the Old Trafford club reacted to Phillips’s performance versus the Toffees last night:

If Man United fans are taking the time to praise a Leeds player then it’s a pretty big compliment, given the animosity that exists between both clubs.

And if Phillips can dazzle at Old Trafford on December 20 then it’ll be considered further evidence that he has a glittering career in the Premier League ahead of him.
