Aston Villa are struggling in the Championship at the moment after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.

Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has responded strongly on social networking site Twitter when asked if he is looking to sell the club.

The Chinese businessman completed the takeover of Villa in June, as reported by BBC Sport at the time.

The Villans are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

Villa are one of the biggest clubs of England, and many will expect them to bounce straight back into the Premier League.

However, the Villans are not doing so well and are just two points above the relegation zone at the moment.

Roberto Di Matteo has been dismissed as the first-team manager, as Villa try to rescue their season.

Villa chairman Xia, though, has made it clear on Twitter that he is not looking to sell the club anytime soon.

Villa have picked up just 10 points from 11 matches in the Championship so far this season.

The Villans will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Villa Park in the Championship after the international break.
