The Villans owner has taken to social media one more.

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has revealed just how much – or how little – his side have spent of their parachute payments.
As reported by the Birmingham Mail in April, Villa will be given £40 million this season to help soften the blow of relegation from the Premier League.

Should they remain in the second tier next term, they will pick up another £33 million and receive a final payment of £14 million if they do not return to the top flight by 2018-19.
On the surface, it would appear Villa, who have spent close to £60 million on transfers since going down, have already utilised some of those first-season funds.

This, however, is a huge misconception, according to Xia. Responding to a tweet which has since been deleted, the Chinese businessman posted the following:
As well as making nine new signings, the Villans allowed 11 first-team players to leave during the summer transfer window, supplementing their outlay by around £20 million.
Roberto di Matteo’s side have endured a slow start to life in the Championship and find themselves 17th in the standings with six games played.
