Aston Villa defeated Barnsley 3-1 in the Championship clash on Saturday.

Aston Villa maintained their impressive form after winning 3-1 against Barnsley in the Championship clash at Villa Park on Saturday.
Tony Xia, the Villa chairman, has taken to social networking site Twitter, to express his reaction after the game. He tweeted:
Scott Hogan scored two goals and Conor Hourihane added another to help Villa beat Barnsley comfortably at home.

Villa went 2-0 up in the seventh minute, with Hogan bagging a quick-fire brace. Dimitri Cavare’s header kept Barnsley in the game, but Hourihane struck Villa’s third against his former club.
Hogan could have completed his hat-trick after the break, but his effort hit the post. With this victory, Villa have now won four consecutive league games, which puts them in contention for automatic promotion.

Villa boss Steve Bruce said after the match that it was a comfortable victory, and that his side is growing in confidence.
