Aston Villa have made five signings in the January transfer window already.
Tony Xia has suggested that Aston Villa’s transfer system is now very different to when he first arrived at the club.
Villa completed their fourth signing of the last seven days earlier today, by completing a deal for Conor Hourihane from Barnsley.

The claret and blues had already secured the additions of Henri Lansbury, James Bree and Birkir Bjarnason earlier this week.
Villa have also signed Sam Johnstone from Manchester United on loan during the January transfer window.
And Xia has praised the new found effectiveness of his side in the transfer market, with Steve Round’s influence hailed.
Round was appointed as Villa’s technical director in September, and his first transfer window at the Midlands club has certainly been efficient.
Steve Bruce has been handed most the players he asked for the strengthen his squad.
Villa are chasing a play off spot, but they have work to do to catch the top six.
Villa are currently in 13th place in the Championship table, nine points away from the play off spaces.
