Aston Villa are currently in 17th place in the Championship table.

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has ensured supporters of the Midlands club that he has faith that his side’s form will improve.

Villa have won just once so far this season, and currently sit down in 17th place in the Championship table.

The Claret and Blues were one of the favourites to be promoted this term, but they are already playing catch up.

Villa are now seven points behind the play off places, and it seems that sections of their supporters are starting to lose faith in manager Roberto Di Matteo.

Di Matteo was a high profile appointment for Villa, but he still seems to be finding the right balance at Villa Park.

The Villans have shown signs of promise during matches, but they have struggled to get over the line.

Villa have dropped 11 points from winning positions this season – and their last match against Barnsley perfectly highlighted their struggles.

Di Matteo’s side had the better of the game, but conceded an equaliser in the 89th minute.

Villa are next in action at the weekend, when they face Preston North End.
