Aston Villa were beaten 1-0 by Norwich City at Carrow Road yesterday.

Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has called for his side to ‘wake up’, after their defeat against Norwich City last night.

Villa were well off the pace at Carrow Road yesterday, as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat.

A goal from Nelson Oliveira proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Norwich grabbed a deserved three points.

And Xia admits that although the loss is not the end of the world, he wants to ensure Villa bounce back quickly.

Villa barely threatened to get back into the match, following Norwich’s goal.

Steve Bruce’s men struggled to find any fluency to their play, and put in arguably their worst performance since the 55-year-old boss took charge.

Villa are now in 13th place in the Championship table – six points away from the play off places.

The claret and blues are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Queens Park Rangers.
