Xia, though, has urged the Villa Park faithful to remain patient about signings.
Villa endured a disappointing 2016-17 campaign. The Villans were expected to at least challenge for a top-six finish in the Championship last season, but at one stage there were facing the prospect of getting relegated to League One.
Steve Bruce is a good manager, and the fans should have faith in him and in club chairman Xia to make the right signings in the summer transfer window.
The main objective for the Villans next season should be to clinch a spot in the playoffs. A top-two finish is going to be tough.
