Aston Villa are struggling at the back end of the current campaign.

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has taken to Twitter to comment on the club’s playing style.
Steve Bruce’s side enjoyed an impressive return to form earlier this year to pull clear of the relegation zone. However yet another a dip has seen them take just one point from their last three matches, leaving fans frustrated once again.
Xia posted the following message on social media on Tuesday morning:
“Re: Question of style: We need to get the right environment and system back first, then build winning mentality, stable performance and football style.”
That is all well and good, and Bruce certainly needs time to get his new additions playing effectively alongside those he inherited when he took charge at Villa Park last year. But if he does not oversee a promotion charge next season, questions will be asked.
They certainly have the experienced players and the exciting youth prospects to kick on in 2018 and it will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming transfer market.
For now Villa are seeing out the current campaign with nothing left to play for. Next season is another matter entirely.
Following Xia’s message a number of Villa supporters had their say and you can read a selection below:
