Aston Villa left back Jordan Amavi has seen his move to Sevilla collapse.
Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has taken to Twitter in order to clear up confusion surrounding Jordan Amavi’s failed move to Spanish side Sevilla.

As noted by BBC Sport on Friday evening, Villa had agreed a deal to sell left back Amavi to Sevilla for an undisclosed fee, with the Frenchman poised to sign a five-year deal.
Amavi was thought to be putting the final touches to his move over the weekend, but Estadio Deportivo in Spain reported earlier this morning that Amavi’s move has fallen through on medical grounds.
Many will remember that Amavi suffered a terrible knee injury in 2015, and he struggled to rebound and hit top form last season, but Sevilla seemingly felt that they could get him back on track.
Now though, Sevilla have reason to believe that Amavi’s knee issues are too much of a problem, and the deal to send the former Nice defender to Spain has fallen through.

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia took to Twitter earlier today in order to give his version of events, claiming that Amavi’s medical examination actually came back with positive results.
Xia went on to claim that somebody at Sevilla had reservations about the deal, and used the medical to back out of the move, which Xia feels is ‘unfair’ to Amavi.
Aston Villa fans then took to Twitter to respond to Xia, urging him to re-think his decision to sell Amavi by suggesting that he should be given another chance to shine next season – but with Steve Bruce needing funds, those calls could fall on deaf ears.
