Aston Villa maintained their good run of form on Saturday afternoon, as they got the better of Burton Albion 3-2 at Villa Park in the Championship.
It was Villa’s sixth successive win in the Championship, with Scott Hogan, Albert Adomah and Jack Grealish scoring the goals.
The result means that the Villans are now third in the league table with 56 points from 30 matches, just a point behind second-placed Derby County.
Steve Bruce’s side are in the running for automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Villa chairman Tony Xia has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win against Albion, and so has former Villan Paul McGrath.
It was not easy for Villa to win against Burton at Villa Park, but in the end their quality came through.
The Villans are in great form at the moment, and if they maintain this momentum for the next few weeks, then they could well secure a place in the top two of the Championship this season.
