Odsonne Edouard scored for Neil Lennon’s Celtic at Celtic Park on Thursday evening.
Tony Watt has spoken highly of Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard on Twitter.
The 25-year-old former Celtic forward was impressed with Edouard’s performance for the Hoops against AIK at Celtic Park in the first leg of their Europa League playoff round tie on Thursday evening.
The 21-year-old scored the Hoops’ second goal in the 73rd minute, as the Glasgow giants won 2-0.
Watt, who was on the books of Celtic from 2011 until 2014 and is now at Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia, has raved about Edouard on Twitter.
Edouard is a very good forward who is technically brilliant and is a proven goalscorer, but there are question marks over his consistency.
While the forward does turn up in big games, such as the Old Firm derbies against Rangers, he does tend to go missing at times in other matches, and that is an area that the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster should improve in.
According to WhoScored, Edouard has scored two goals in two Scottish Premiership games, two goals in five Champions League qualifiers and one in one Europa League qualifier this season.
