Ibrox outfit Glasgow Rangers failed to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title this past season.

Charlton Athletic forward Tony Watt has made it clear on social networking site Twitter that he does not want Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership title next season.
Watt, who is 23 years of age, is a former Celtic player and was on the books of the Glasgow giants from 2011 until 2014.

Given Watt’s obvious connection with Celtic, it does not come as a surprise that he does not want Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership title next season.
It is hard to see the Gers push for the title during the 2017-18 campaign. The Ibrox outfit could only end up third in the Scottish Premiership this past season.
Rangers’ main objective next season should be to finish second in the Scottish Premiership table and close the gap on Old Firm rivals Celtic.
It is important that the Gers progress next season and play good football. Winning the title is not going to be possible, but if they end up runners-up, then the fans should be pleased.
