Celtic’s James Forrest is developing into a classy player for the Hoops.

James Forrest of Celtic celebrates his goal (Celtics 1st)with Stuart Armstrong during the Betfred Cup Final at Hampden Park on November 26, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

James Forrest reached double figures in terms of goals for the first time in his Celtic career on Saturday.

The 26-year-old winger was a second-half substitute in the 5-1 win over Motherwell at Parkhead but still managed to brace himself a brace after replacing Jonny Hayes.

In doing so, Forrest brought his record for the season to 10 already, with his previous personal best being nine, and the Scotland international now has three goals in his last three games.

It’s not quite 80% though, according to Transfermarkt.

That website claims that only 11 of Forrest’s 48 goals for the Hoops have come with his weaker foot, which is still quite a decent record.

Nevertheless, Forrest is one of the most improved players under manager Brendan Rodgers and the Northern Irishman will need him at his very best over the coming months amid suggestions that Patrick Roberts could be out until March.
