Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah is yet to start a Championship game for Leeds United this season.

Tony Pulis had admitted that he was ‘a little bit’ surprised that Eddie Nketiah didn’t start for Leeds United as they recorded a much-needed 1-0 win over West Brom on Tuesday night.
Just like he has done since the start of the campaign, Bielsa started with Patrick Bamford as his main man up top, with Arsenal loanee Nketiah yet to be named in the starting XI for a Championship clash.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Bielsa’s decision to start Bamford was justified because he put in a brilliant display for his team.
Speaking to Sky Sports Football (01/09/2019 at 7 pm), Pulis lauded the qualities of Nketiah but stated that Bamford is still a better footballer than him.
On Nketiah not starting: “A little bit [surprised],” Pulis told Sky Sports. “He definitely is a goal scorer. He gets in between the goals. The kid is not as good as Patrick [Bamford] in respect of receiving it and playing other people in.
“But when the ball comes across the goal, that lad gets in between the goals and that’s a sign of a good goalscorer.”

It is understandable as to why some would be calling for Nketiah to start because, in recent games, Leeds have not put their chances away.
Therefore, there have been calls for Nketiah to start up front, or even for the Arsenal man to be selected alongside Bamford. But that is yet to happen.
Nonetheless, that win against West Brom was much-needed because it moved Bielsa’s side to the top of the table and ended Albion’s unbeaten run.
