West Brom manager Tony Pulis has suggested that the Baggies could make another move for Chelsea captain John Terry in the summer after failing to land the defender during the January transfer window, the Daily Mirror reports.
Terry has been more of a fringe player this season under Antonio Conte, so it seems that West Brom tried to get some kind of deal done that would have seen the former England skipper spend the second half of the season at the Hawthorns.
Despite Terry obviously staying put during that window, Pulis has hinted that a move for the 36-year-old at the end of the campaign could well be on the cards.
“He wanted to stay there and be part of going out as a champion. I’m not sure how many times he’s won it with them but John wanted to stay there,” he said, as reported by the Mirror.

“If he becomes available in the summer, we’ll sit down and have a little think about what we’ve got and what we haven’t got and we’ll take it from there.”
The Mirror reports that Terry is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer. And given how he has been on the periphery for much of the current campaign, it would perhaps hardly be a surprise if he was given the green light to move on this year rather than being given the chance to fall further down the pecking order having signed a somewhat sentimental extension.
While Terry’s quality has not diminished too rapidly as he heads into the twilight of his career, news that West Brom may make another move may perhaps not be received too warmly by the Baggies faithful.

The Mirror suggests that with Jonas Olsson set to leave this summer, Pulis could look to pair Terry with Gareth McAuley at the back.
And while the latter is undoubtedly enjoying a tremendous campaign, that potential partnership would boast a combined age of 73, so will certainly not be a pairing that can be locked down for the long-term.
