West Bromwich Albion could be in need of defensive reinforcements.
Tony Pulis has suggested that West Bromwich Albion’s plans for the January transfer window may have to be altered slightly given the potential loss of two defenders over the coming weeks, the Birmingham Mail reports.
The Baggies are flying high in the Premier League table currently, but their victory over Hull City on Monday has potentially left Pulis with something of a defensive dilemma to contend with.

Summer signing Allan Nyom is set to join up with Cameroon’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, while Jonny Evans had to be taken off after just half an hour of the clash with the Tigers due to injury.
And with the Mail reporting that the extent of Evans’ injury is still unknown, Pulis has hinted that his plans for this month may need rethinking.
“Looking at Jonny, Nyom’s gone off now, we might have to try and get a couple of defenders in that we weren’t expecting to do,” he said, as reported by the Mail.

With West Brom doing so well currently – they sit eighth in the table and have some breathing space between themselves and the teams below – they would surely be foolish to not strengthen during this window.
The Baggies will arguably not have a better chance to put pressure on those chasing a European spot, so doing some smart business over the coming weeks could have a major impact on whether they capitalise on their current position.
And even if they fail to break into the top seven, maintaining a top half place could boost their chances of enjoying an excellent summer.
