West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has revealed to Sky Sports what he told his players after the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
The Baggies suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
England international striker Kane was the star of the show, as he scored a stunning hat-trick.
Pulis has revealed what he told his West Brom players after the defeat to Spurs in North London.
“I take no credit away from Tottenham, who are a very good team, our lads weren’t right on that mettle today and you have got to be otherwise you get punished and that’s what happened today,” Pulis told Sky Sports.
“As I said, I don’t want to take anything away from Spurs, who were very good, but for us, like I said to the players afterwards, you have to be on it against these teams.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, hosts Tottenham had 73% of the possession, took 21 shots of which 11 were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors West Brom had just 27% of the possession, took three shots of which none was on target, and failed to earn a single corner, according to BBC Sport.
The Baggies are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 21 matches.
Pulis’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Sunderland at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.
