Galloway has not played for West Brom since September.

Tony Pulis has assured Brendan Galloway that he will soon get another chance in the West Bromwich Albion team, before challenging the defender to make the most of the chance, the Express and Star reports.

The 20-year-old has made just four appearances for the Baggies since arriving from Everton in the summer, and has not played at all for the first-team since September due to the form of fellow summer arrival Allan Nyom.

But with a couple of the West Brom defenders beginning to edge closer to a suspension, Pulis has set the England under-21 international a challenge for when he returns to the team.

“He’s been smashing,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star. “Obviously he had the problem when he went away and came back and that gave Nyom a chance.

“Nyom’s got a few bookings, Dawson is on four, so that could give Brendan his chance. He’s got to take it and make sure he plays well and stays in the team.”

If Galloway needs any further motivation to make the most of any opportunity that comes his way, he may want to remember that he arguably faces an even tougher task trying to make the grade with his parent club than he does at the Hawthorns.

The Toffees already boast several players who are more than capable of playing at full-back, and the further Ronald Koeman’s men venture up the Premier League table, the more likely it will surely be that the Everton boss will look to add another established name to his options.

And if Galloway is unable to move above Nyom – who is naturally a right-back – in the pecking order, then he perhaps stands little chance of going on to become an important players when he returns to Everton.
