Leeds United will win promotion to the Premier League, says Tony Pulis.
Tony Pulis has told The Telegraph that Leeds United will win the Championship title this season.
The former Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion boss, who is without a managerial job at the moment following his departure from Middlesbrough at the end of last season, believes that Leeds will get promoted to the Premier League.
Pulis told The Telegraph when asked to predict the Championship winner this season: “Leeds will also do it this year.”
Realistic prediction
Leeds may not be at the top of the Championship table at the moment, but the Whites have made a strong start to the season.
Given how close the Whites went to clinching promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs last season, it is logical to expect Marcelo Bielsa’s side to challenge again.
Leeds have a strong team, with quality players such as Kalvin Phillips, and having signed Helder Costa, they are now more potent in attack.
It will not be easy for Leeds, as they will face some stiff challenge from teams such as Swansea City, West Brom and Fulham, but they are strong contenders for automatic promotion.
