West Bromwich Albion will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend.
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has told The Express & Star that Tottenham Hotspur are not going to fade away.
Tottenham are going strong in the Premier League at the moment and in the running for the league title.
The North London outfit are second in the standings with 17 points from seven matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.
Spurs will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on West Brom away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.
West Brom manager Pulis has praised Tottenham and their manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Pulis has also predicted that Spurs are not going to fade away and are up there for the long term.
“I wouldn’t put Tottenham in that second tier, I think they’re in the first tier now,” Pulis told The Express & Star. “They proved that last year.
“I don’t think they’re a team that’s going to fade away. He won’t allow them to do that. They’ve got the quality to be there.
“I really expect them to see it through to the end of the season. I’m not saying they’re going to win it, that won’t be determined until further down the line, but they’re certainly racing a good horse.”
“He put his stamp on Southampton and he’s certainly put his stamp on Spurs now,” added Pulis about Pochettino. “You can watch his teams and they are well-coached.”
Tottenham were in the running for the Premier League title until the final weeks of last season, and the 2016-17 campaign should prove to be similar.
Pochettino’s side got the better of league leaders and favourites City 2-0 at White Hart Lane before the international break.
Spurs will fancy their chances of winning against West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
