Tony Pulis has heaped praise upon Tottenham Hotspur and claimed that they are one of the best teams in Europe, the Express and Star reports.
Spurs came desperately close to tasting their first Premier League defeat of the season against Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion after former Tottenham man Nacer Chadli had smashed home the opener with just eight minutes of normal time remaining.

But Mauricio Pochettino’s men salvaged a point as Dele Alli’s cute finish in the 89th minute kept Tottenham’s unbeaten start intact.
And after watching his side come so close to claiming an impressive victory, Pulis lauded the quality within Spurs’ squad.
“Tottenham are an absolutely fantastic team,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.
“They’re one of the best teams in Europe, never mind England.”

While some may believe that the Baggies boss has made such a statement as a way to make his own team feel better about the point, many will not argue with his assessment.
Tottenham would have been forgiven for making a slow start this term, given how close they came to glory last year, but they have managed to continually find a way to pick up points and avoid defeat.
And the longer that unbeaten run goes on, the more belief the team will get that they can put themselves right in the title picture once again this year, especially if they are securing late goals to preserve that run.
