Tony Pulis said on Sky Sports News (1:58pm, September 26, 2020) that he spoke to West Ham United manager David Moyes this week.

The former Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion manager said that Moyes wants to sign a player or two in the summer transfer window.

West Ham have yet to bring in a new player this summer, with the transfer window to close in a matter of days.

Pulis said on Sky Sports News (1:58pm, September 26, 2020): “I spoke to David Moyes this week and David is looking to bring one or two in.

“He knows he needs to improve it, but he also said that the squad, especially after the Arsenal game, he was absolutely delighted with the performance, obviously disappointed with the result, but he liked the performance and the attitude of the players.”

Disappointing start

West Ham narrowly avoided the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of last season, and things have started badly for the Hammers this campaign as well.

The Hammers have lost their opening two Premier League games of the season.

Moyes’s side lost 2-0 to Newcastle United at the London Stadium in their opening game of the campaign and suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium.

However, the performance of Moyes’s team against the Gunners was encouraging.

West Ham will return to action on Sunday evening when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium in the Premier League.
