Jordan Hugill joined Middlesbrough on loan from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Hugill joined Championship club Middlesbrough on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old forward has made 11 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Boro so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
Pulis told GazetteLive regarding signing Hugill on a permanent contract: “We’ve got Jordan until the end of the season so that’s there, that’s in place.
”I think our priority is to try and get the players to add to that group and get the players who, when we play at home, will change the game and win games at times.”

No long-term future at Middlesbrough?
While Pulis is right to focus on signing players in the January transfer window, the Middlesbrough manager’s aforementioned comments suggest that he has not yet made up his mind regarding Hugill’s long-term future.
After all, if Pulis was keen on making the forward’s loan move permanent, then he would have been more forthcoming.
The Boro boss’s coy response suggests that he has yet to make up his mind, and perhaps he may not be keen on making the deal permanent next summer if the forward’s form does not improve.
