Tony Gale says West Ham star Manuel Lanzini can make a bigger impact this season.
Sky Sports pundit, Tony Gayle, believes that West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini will make an even bigger impact this season.
Gayle, who made 300 Premier League appearances for West Ham during his playing career, says the Hammers must keep hold of the midfield star at all costs.
The Argentine attacking midfielder, often affectionately called “la joya”, scored eight goals in the Premier League in his first season at the club.

Gayle has hailed Lanzini as a “special” player who has the ability to create chances. He has compared him with Trevor Brooking and Alan Devonshire, and predicts he will be the next player to go for an astronomical fee.
“Lanzini is special, and with new players like Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic around him, he can have an even bigger impact,” said Gayle, as quoted by The Sunday Mirror (printed edition, press reader).
“He is one of those gifted players who can create something. Lanzini puts me in mind of Trevor Brooking and Alan Devonshire.
“Lanzini will be the next player to go for an astronomical fee.”
Lanzini is on a £35,000-per-week contract at West Ham that lasts till 2020. According to reports from The Daily Mail, the east London club want to improve his terms by at least doubling his wage to £70,000-per-week to ensure that he stays.
