Tony Gale said that the Tottenham striker is worth more than Neymar.
Former West Ham player Tony Gale has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is worth more than Neymar.
The Brazilian joined Paris Saint-Germain this summer for a world record transfer fee of £198 million, and Gale believes Kane would cost more than him. He said that Kane would cost around £250 million.
“I think that he’s worth more than Neymar, I really do,” said Gale to Sky Sports. “I love Neymar but I think Harry’s got how many goals? Goals are the thing. I’ll go £250million.”
Kane has enjoyed a rapid rise under Mauricio Pochettino, and is arguably the best England striker at the moment.
He scored 13 goals in all competitions in September, and has been receiving high praise from players, managers and football pundits from all over the world.
Gale believes that Kane is the best centre-forward in the world at the moment, and that Spurs will have to break the bank to keep him.
“He’s the best, probably the best striker or one of the best strikers in the world at the moment,” Gale added. “They are going to have to break the bank to keep him. But if there is a player worth breaking the bank for, it’s Harry Kane.
“He (Levy) is a businessman but if he sells him he’s mad. The boy loves Spurs as well, as they sing ‘he’s one of our own’.
“He is one of their own, you’ve just got to build everything around that kid. You’ve got to pay him as much as Real Madrid want to pay him.”
Recently report emerged from Spain that Real Madrid are already considering making a move for Kane.
The 57-year-old says that every player has a price, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be mad to sell the England striker.
Kane, meanwhile, has said that he’s very happy at Spurs, but does not rule out moving abroad in the future.
