Tony Gale predicts either of the Manchester clubs to win the 2017/18 Premier League title.

Former Crystal Palace defender and now a football pundit, Tony Gale, predicts that the 2017/18 Premier League title will be heading towards Manchester.

Both the Manchester clubs have spent big in the summer transfer window, and Gale believes that either of the two clubs will land the Premiership trophy come May.

Gale predicts that Liverpool will fail to make the top four this time. Jurgen Klopp’s side secured a Champions League spot on the last day of the 2016/17 season, but Gale believes this time the Reds will come short.

The Sky Sports pundit also tips Arsenal, who failed to secure a top four finish for the first time under Arsene Wenger’s tenure, to finish outside the top four this season.

Gale adds that champions Chelsea will finish at 3rd while last season’s runner up Tottenham Hotspur will occupy the fourth position.

He believes that both Liverpool and Arsenal “have not got enough” compared to other potential title challengers.

“I think Manchester City and Manchester United top two, definitely,” Gale said on Sky Sports (h/t Daily Express).

“Chelsea and Spurs after that so the northern swing has come in and the London swing has come out.

“For me, if you look at it like that, Liverpool and Arsenal have not got enough as what the other sides have got at the moment.”
