And the Queens Park Rangers midfielder responded to the chairman after a dramatic 3-2 win at Wolves.

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes was a happy bunny on Wednesday night following his side’s 3-2 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The R’s registered their first win of the Championship season at Molineaux and Fernandes took to Twitter in celebration after the game.

The Malaysian did not choose to praise his goalscorers, however, instead singling out a ‘true Ranger’ in Alejandro Faurlin. The 29-year-old has suffered multiple injury problems during his time at QPR but is back in business and impressed against Wolves.

Wolves had led 2-0 before a goal from Charlie Austin and a brace from Matt Phillips guided Chris Ramsey’s men to an unforgettable away triumph.

As Opta stats show, Faurlin impressed against Wolves, completing far more passes than any other QPR player, with the same also applying in terms of final-third passes.

The 29-year-old also won three tackles and four interceptions.

QPR’s conquest was certainly an impressive one and, after three Championship games, the R’s are off the mark in terms of their first win. For Wolves, meanwhile, the result leaves the Midlands side in the same situation as their west London opponents – with one win, one draw and one loss to their name.
