Tony Dorigo has praised Leeds United summer signing Rodrigo on LUTV.
The former Leeds defender was impressed with the display produced by the Spain international during the Whites’ 3-0 win against Aston Villa in their last Premier League game.
Dorigo has outlined what the 29-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as a winger, brings to Marcelo Bielsa’s team.
The former Leeds star told LUTV about Rodrigo: “I thought his positioning and his movement and link-play was wonderful. He just drifts into space, but he is so quick with his ideas. He already knows what’s going on. The second, third pass he has seen it and he plays like that, and that’s the way we play.”

How has Rodrigo done for Leeds United?
Rodrigo joined Leeds from Spanish club Valencia in the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old has hit the ground running at Elland Road and is showing why he is rated so highly.
The Spain international has made three starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Whites so far this season, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
English striker Patrick Bamford is leading the line for Leeds, while Rodrigo is creating chances, linking up well with the other attack-minded players and creating space.
The Spaniard has formed a good understanding with Bamford on the pitch, and it is going great for him and for Leeds.
Praise for Patrick Bamford
Dorigo has also praised Bamford, and so has former Leeds defender Danny Mills.
Mills said about Bamford on Racing Post: “There was a lot of good chances he should have scored or where he should have hit the target and he didn’t. I think now he has suddenly got that belief.”
Dorigo said about Bamford on LUTV: “You look back at last season. I suppose there were issues with not converting the chances that he had. Marcelo Bielsa has certainly given him plenty of love, and wow, hasn’t it been repaid? What a fantastic start.”
