Tony Dorigo has praised Leeds United defender Diego Llorente on Twitter for his performance against Aston Villa.
The former Villa and Leeds defender was impressed by the display of Llorente during the Premier League game at Elland Road on Saturday evening.
Dorigo believes that the 27-year-old’s progress is a positive from the game for Leeds.
Encouraging
Llorente joined Leeds from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2020 and was expected to be a massive star at Elland Road.
The 27-year-old was one of the better centre-backs in La Liga and has played six times for Spain.
However, injury and fitness issues have affected Llorente this season, but things are starting to improve for him.

According to WhoScored, Llorente has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Leeds so far this season.
Against Villa on Saturday evening, the 27-year-old took one shot which was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 86.9%, won three headers, took 72 touches, and made four tackles and one interception, according to WhoScored.
Leeds will be disappointed not to win against Villa, but defensively they did relatively well.
