Former Leeds United and Aston Villa defender Tony Dorigo celebrated wins for both clubs on Saturday afternoon – but Derby County couldn’t follow suit.

Aston Villa made it seven points from three games under new manager Steve Bruce, as with the game against Fulham heading towards a draw, Jonathan Kodjia popped up with an acrobatic effort to win the game 1-0.

Just down the road from Villa Park, Leeds were taking on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, and they also grabbed a 1-0 victory.

Kemar Roofe’s 70th minute goal from a Hadi Sacko cross proved to be the winner for Leeds, with Garry Monk celebrating an impressive win.

However, Derby County didn’t enjoy quite so much success. Whilst Villa and Leeds won 1-0, Derby lost 1-0 away at high-flying Huddersfield Town, as striker Elias Kachunga hit a 93rd minute winner for the Terriers.

New manager Steve McClaren will be disappointed with the result, which means that he has now won one, drawn one and lost one of his first three games back in charge of the Rams.

After the games finished, former defender Tony Dorigo – who turned out for Villa, Leeds and Derby – took to Twitter to react to their respective results.

Former England International Dorigo celebrated Aston Villa and Leeds grabbing 1-0 win, but was disappointed to see Derby lose by the same scoreline.
