Ben White impressed yet again for Leeds United on Saturday.

Tony Dorigo believes that there were plenty of positives for Leeds United in the form of individual displays, despite Saturday’s disappointment.

Derby County held United to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road in a game that Leeds could and should have won by a significant margin.

Chris Martin snatched an unlikely point for the visitors, who rode their luck throughout the game – especially when Mateusz Klich missed a penalty to make it 2-0 on 70 minutes.

Despite the result, Dorigo saw a lot to ‘purr over’ nonetheless and highlighted the performance of Ben White as one of the positives.

The Brighton centre-back has been a revelation since joining Marcelo Bielsa’s side on a season-long loan, and former Whites star Dorigo said the 21-year-old simply ‘oozes class’.

He wrote on his website: “Another point was gained, but it felt very much like 2 points given away. Leeds do play some breathtaking stuff at times, a style which will garner new supporters around the globe.

“Individually, there was plenty to purr over. Ben White oozes class and assurance at the back.”

White is essentially Pontus Jansson’s replacement in West Yorkshire, despite the fact that he joined prior to the Swede’s departure.

Jansson, like White, originally joined Leeds on loan and later made the move permanent, and how United fans would love to see the English defender make the move long term.
