Tony Dorigo has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that he feels Jack Harrison could be a big player for Leeds United this season.

The Manchester City winger re-signed for the Whites on another season-long loan earlier this month.

Harrison was hit and miss during his first stint at Elland Road but really came to life toward the end of last season.

During pre-season, the 22-year-old has been one of Leeds’ best players following some stand-out performances on the club’s tour of Australia.

And former United man Dorigo has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that based on what he has seen, Harrison could be a problem for the Championship this time around.

He said: “One player in particular I think will have a really good season is Jack Harrison.

“I thought he looked really sharp in both games that I saw and he’s certainly one of those that can aim for about 10 goals this season; that’d be a big improvement.”

Harrison, who earns £51,000 per week at parent club City [Spotrac], only scored four goals last season, so if Dorigo is right and he reaches double figures this time around then that would be brilliant.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side kick off their Championship campaign with a trip to Bristol City on Sunday.
