Tony Dorigo has praised the performances of Leeds United defender Barry Douglas so far this season on social networking site Twitter.

The former Leeds defender believes that left-back Douglas has made an excellent start to life at the West Yorkshire outfit.

The 28-year-old, who can also operate as a left wing-back, joined the Whites from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.

The former Dundee United star has played in all three of Leeds’s Championship matches so far this season, and his performances have impressed Dorigo.

Strong start

Leeds have won all four of their competitive matches so far this season, and the performances of Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been superb.

The former Premier League side have been the best and most entertaining team in the Championship so far this season.

Douglas has played his part, and the former Wolves left-back’s experience and success in the Championship is going to be important for Leeds as the season progresses.
