How will Aston Villa fare in the Championship this season?
Tony Dorigo has stated on social networking site Twitter that he hopes that Aston Villa finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
Villa endured a disappointing 2016-17 Championship campaign and failed to end up in the playoffs, but the Villans will be targeting a top-six finish at least this term.
Former Villa defender Dorigo has given his verdict on Steve Bruce’s squad and hopes that they end up in the top six.
Meanwhile, ex-Arsenal star Paul Merson has revealed his worry about his former club Villa, stating that he is concerned about the age of the central defenders.
John Terry, who joined Villa in the summer transfer window after leaving Chelsea at the end of last season, is 36 years of age, while Christopher Samba is 33 years old and James Chester is 28.
“My only worry with Villa, and it is my only worry, is that they have got two ageing centre-halves,” said Merson on the EFL Kick Off: AM show on Sky Sports News last Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, August 4, 2017).

Villa kicked off their 2017-18 Championship campaign with a 1-1 draw with Hull City at Villa Park last Saturday afternoon.
The Villans have a good squad, and Bruce and his players should be aiming for a top-two finish in the Championship this season.
