Tony Dorigo has been singing the praises of Leeds United new boy Robin Koch, claiming that he’s ‘growing every single game’.
Leeds shelled out some £13 million to sign the German centre-back during the summer transfer window.
But it wasn’t an easy first few games in the Premier League for Koch, who conceded a penalty in each of the Whites’ first two matches back in the top flight.
That being said, the big man looked far more assured in the recent 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
And Dorigo has claimed that Koch is getting better and better.
He told LUTV: “One player in particular for me I like to mention is Robin Koch. Again, he is growing every single game. I thought he was outstanding once again [against Manchester City]. He is the rock in central defence.”
The Premier League is famed for its intensity, speed and physicality and the truth is that not every player is going to take to it like a duck to water.
But Dorigo is right in saying that Koch has steadily improved in comparison to his first two weeks and there’s no reason to believe he won’t continue to improve after the international break.
Leeds, who sit eighth in the Premier League after four games, host Wolves on Monday week.
