Tony Dorigo has suggested on social networking site Twitter that former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri would not be the right manager for Leeds United.

Leeds are on the lookout for a new manager following the resignation of Garry Monk from the role.

Monk stepped down from the role at Elland Road despite almost leading the West Yorkshire outfit to a top-six finish in the Championship

Former Leeds defender Dorigo has suggested on Twitter that former Leicester manager Ranieri would not be the right fit for the Whites.

Dorigo, though, has suggested that ex-Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka and former Hull City boss Marco Silva would be good candidates for the role.

It must have been a huge disappointing for Leeds to see Monk resign from his position, but the Elland Road faithful should not be disheartened.

Leeds are a massive club and will attract top-quality managers. If the Whites make the right appointment soon and back him in the summer transfer window, then the West Yorkshire outfit could challenge for the Championship playoffs next season.
