Tony Dorigo has singled out Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich for praise after Leeds United’s win at Everton on Saturday night.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side moved to 11th in the Premier League with a brilliant 1-0 win away to the Toffees.

And it was a goal from new boy Raphinha on 79 minutes which gave Leeds the victory.

But the tireless running from Phillips and Klich in midfield laid the foundations for the win in many ways.

And Dorigo, speaking to LUTV after the game, has heralded the United duo, claiming they ran £21 million Everton man Allan off the field.

He said: “I’m waiting for the alamo in the last 15 minutes but it didn’t come. Allan couldn’t run at the end. He was just run off the pitch because Klich and Kalvin have done so much running in there that they just couldn’t cope.”

This is probably Leeds’ most impressive win of the season.

It’s been a strange sort of campaign, but what we do know is that Everton have been very impressive under Carlo Ancelotti and for Bielsa’s side to leave with three points is a big feather in their cap.

They’re on their travels again next weekend for the visit to Chelsea and given their performances against Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea this season, the Premier League new boys really won’t be all that daunted.
