James reportedly passed a medical at Leeds, but a move failed to materialise.

Tony Dorigo has angrily blasted Swansea City as Leeds United were blocked in their approach to sign winger Daniel James on January’s deadline day – despite the player reportedly passing a medical.
James, 21, has been a target for Leeds throughout January, after starring for Swansea since breaking into the side under Graham Potter this season. He has scored two goals and created four.
Leeds are said to have agreed a loan deal to sign James, which would see the Whites pay £1.5million up front – according to the YEP. James passed a medical, but Swansea went silent with 90 minutes remaining in before the deadline.
James’ agent has since blasted Swansea in an interview with the Telegraph about the move, and now, former Leeds star Dorigo has criticised the Welsh outfit for preventing a move, which he believes is down to “internal politics”.
Dorigo’s claim about internal politics may relate to the Telegraph’s claim that there was a conflict between chairman Huw Jenkins and the club’s American owners, Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien, over selling James.
It sees Leeds manage to complete just two signings in January in the form of Kiko Casilla and youngster Mateusz Bogusz, while James will be preparing to play for Swansea on Saturday against Bristol City.
