Brown is nearing his senior Leeds debut after overcoming an injury.

Tony Dorigo has told LS11’s podcast on Wednesday morning that Leeds United are missing a player like Izzy Brown after winning just two of their last seven Championship outings.
Brown, 22, was signed by Leeds on a season-long loan from Chelsea though Leeds were more than aware that the attacker was recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
That knee problem was expected to keep him sidelined until the new year, but Brown picked up a hamstring injury that delayed his progress. However, he is closer to a Leeds debut than he has ever been.
He was named on the bench during the 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough, though Marcelo Bielsa opted not to use him. On Wednesday night, he is expected to be on the bench to face Swansea City and Dorigo believes Leeds need him.
“We still need a bit of magic dust between now and the end of the season and I think that will come from a fit [Patrick] Bamford and hopefully Izzy Brown,” Dorigo said. “I still think those two players will have a huge say – certainly Izzy Brown.
“I don’t know anyone who has a bad word to say about him. Or, if you watched him at Huddersfield and saw what he did for them, you know Bielsa is crying out for this player. Imagine Saiz with an extra yard of pace and 10 goals, that’s Brown.”

Brown has impressed in the Championship, turning out for both Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United in the second tier – scoring seven goals and creating five more in 35 league and cup appearances.
It remains to be seen if Brown will remain a Leeds player beyond the end of his loan, with his £25,000-a-week (Spotrac) contract set to expire at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021.
