Tony Dorigo and Michael Bridges have reacted on Twitter after Leeds United returned to the top of the Championship table on Wednesday night with a win over Swansea City at Elland Road.

Leeds took a comfortable 2-0 lead into the half-time break thanks to efforts from Pontus Jansson and Jack Harrison, the latter flicking a header past Erwin Mulder from an excellent Gjanni Alioski cross.

Luke Ayling needlessly gave away a penalty in the final minutes of the match which Leeds-born Oli McBurnie scored to half the deficit, but Leeds held on to win just their third match in eight Championship outings.

The Whites have returned to the top of the table after Norwich City were beaten 3-1 by Preston, and former stars Dorigo and Bridges reacted on Twitter.

Leeds did have to ride their luck at times towards the end, especially with former Elland Road midfielder Matt Grimes clipping the outside of Kiko Casilla’s post in the second half with a free kick.

The Whites are not in action this weekend, and could be toppled by Norwich again with the Canaries travelling to Lancashire to take on Bolton. Leeds return to action on February 23, at home to Bolton.
