James Collins left West Ham United at the end of last season.

Collins is a free agent at the moment, with the former Wales international central defender having parted company with West Ham at the end of last season.
Former West Ham striker Cottee has suggested that the Hammers should have retained the services of the 35-year-old central defender.
Cottee told talkSPORT: “Why did we let James Collins go? An influential player in the dressing room, great lad, keeps everyone on the straight and narrow. He has been allowed to go.”
Good decision?
Collins is past his prime, and it made sense for West Ham to part company with the former Wales international central defender.

The Welshman is 35 years of age, and West Ham needed younger and more energetic players.
That the former Cardiff City and Aston Villa defender is still without a club does back the Hammers’ decision to release him at the end of last season.
However, Collins could soon be at a club, although maybe not one which is in the Premier League.
As reported by HITC Sport, Ipswich Town in the Championship are looking at Collins, who returned to West Ham from Villa in the summer of 2012 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £2.5 million.
