Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero in action
Former Aston Villa and Celtic player Tony Cascarino has suggested in The Times that Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is a better striker than Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane.
Aguero and Kane are two of the best strikers in the Premier League.
Former Chelsea striker Cascarino believes that Kane is not in the same class as Aguero.
The former Republic of Ireland international made the comment following England’s 1-0 victory over 10-man Slovakia away from home in the 2018 World Cup Group F qualifier (European) on Sunday evening.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane
Kane started the game at Stadion Antona Malatinskeho in Trnava and played for 82 minutes, but the 23-year-old failed to make a massive impact.
“The likes of Sergio Aguero can be off their game and still score — Harry isn’t in the same class as that and has to rediscover that hunger for the good of club and country,” Cascarino wrote in The Times.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane
Aguero is arguably the best striker in the Premier League at the moment and has been on top of his game for years.
The Argentina international has been banging in the goals at the top level since his days at Atletico Madrid.
Kane is a very good striker, but the Tottenham star is not at the level of the 28-year-old yet.
The England international has not scored in three Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this season, but he has created three chances.
Aguero has scored three goals and created four chances in three league games for City so far this campaign.
