Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane will still play this season, according to the former hitman.
Tony Cascarino has revealed to talkSPORT that he’s been told Harry Kane will be fit for Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Ajax next month.
Spurs host the Dutch giants in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.
Kane suffered an ankle injury in the first-leg win over Manchester City in the previous tie and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season [The Guardian].
But Cascarino claims that he’s heard the 25-year-old will be available for the visit to Amsterdam.
He told talkSPORT: “I’m told that Harry will be back for the second leg of the Champions League game, Ajax away.
“I’m told they have a real chance of him making it. They will need Harry against Ajax.”
It could potentially be an incredible comeback by Kane, given the original fears, but will Mauricio Pochettino’s side still be in with a shout of reaching the final by the second leg?
In addition to Kane, Tottenham will be without the suspended Son Heung-min and the injured Moussa Sissoko when Ajax visit North London next week.
They are three massive players for Spurs and the Eredivisie side will undoubtedly be favourites to bring a first-leg win back to the Netherlands with them.
